| At 02:34 this morning, rescue 87 was dispatched to assist station 106 (Grandview VFD) with a one vehicle accident with unknown injuries, route 130 in the "S" bend just past Burrell Hill Road. Assistant 87-1 arrived on scene within minutes and confirmed one-male patient entrapped in the vehicle. The alarm was updated to include rescue 112 (Jeannette FD) to assist units already en route. Rescue 87 went in service with four firefighters and was the first due rescue on the alarm. Once on scene, the rescue crew began stabilizing the vehicle in preparation for a roof flap, to free the trapped patient. Service 106 and rescue 112 arrived as the initial cuts for the roof flap were being made and assisted with the extrication. The patient was extricated and turned over to Penn Township EMS in approx. 15 minutes from the time the call was dispatched. Engine 87 and FP 112 assisted with traffic control.
