At 09:45 this morning, Rescue 87 was dispatched to assist Manor VFD (station 13) with a motor vehicle accident with injuries on HC/Manor Road near the Manor Coffee Shop. Chief 13 arrived shortly after dispatch reporting a head-on type collision, car vs. pick-up truck, with one male patient trapped in the car. Chief 13 requested Rescue 87 "pop the door". Chief 87 arrived on scene and advised that a dash roll may also be needed to remove the patient. Rescue 87 arrived on scene, cribbed the vehicle to prevent any unnecessary movement and removed the driver side door. A dash roll was not needed to extricate the patient. Engine 13 personnel stood by with a charged hand line and assisted with fluids. Rescue 87 was placed back in service at approximately 10:15.
