Ice Capades!!
DECEMBER 13
- As an early morning ice storm struck the region, rescue 87 was being dispatched on numerous motor vehicle accidents throughout the area. Within 3 hours, Harrison City Volunteers responded to over 5 accidents including one on the PA turnpike involving 2 tractor-trailers and over 7 cars. Back in business!
DECEMBER 11
- After nearly 3-weeks being out of service Truck 87 has returned back to the starting line-up. The Truck was involved in a minor backing incident and needed some repairs at Sutphen Corporation in Columbus, OH. Rescue 87 Responds on HC-Export Rd Pin Job
NOVEMBER 24
- At 17:52, Claridge VFD was dispatched for a motor vehicle accident, with injuries in the area of the bad bend on HC-Export Road. Shortly thereafter, rescue 87 was added to the alarm once minor entrapment was confirmed. Rescue 87 went en-route with 5 firefighters and was requested to provide stabilization to the vehicle which was resting precariously on a hillside. Once on scene, air shoring and ... SEPTEMBER 28
- Shortly before midnight a house fire was reported on Duncan street in the McCullough section of Penn Township. Departments responding on the first alarm included Claridge, Harrison City, Paintertown, Level Green, Grandview, North Irwin, Penn, and Export VFD's.
