- On behalf of all members of the HCVFD family, we would like to congratulate firefighter Joe Laurica on recently graduating from the Pennsylvania State Police Academy. There were few who believed that Joey could make it through the intensive 28-week academy but he proved us all wrong. Traffic Control, HCVFD assist Penn Township Police
MAY 01
- On Sunday morning around 11:00am, station 87 was dispatched to assist PTPD with traffic control on Pleasant Valley Road near General Weldments. Apparently a vehicle left the roadway and plunged 150+ feet down an embankment sometime during the early morning hours. The driver self-extricated and was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle. WRECK WITH ENTRAPMENT, THEN ONTO THE COMEDY SHOW, BUSY DAY FOR HC VOLUNTEERS

- Shortly after 5:00pm, Rescue 87 was dispatched to assist station 63 (Claridge) with a T-bone type collision with reported entrapment on Harrison City Export Road near Schrams Farm. Chief 63 arrived on scene confirmed entrapment requested doors removed from a vehicle which had a patient trapped in the front passenger seat. - The Harrison City Vol. Fire Department would like to thank everyone who purchased a ticket and/or attended the 2011 Gun Bash which was held on Saturday, March 12th at the Harrison Room. This year, nearly 300 people enjoyed good food, good drink and good conversation throughout the evening while attempting to win a prize.
